Why do two types of RGB exist?
The two types of RGB are RGB and WRGB. One makes white by mixing all 3 RGB colors and the second has a dedicated White LED along with the RGB.

Did you know, there's different types of addressable rgb? This is a dodge charger, addressable rgb strip, and this is an addressable rgb setup for the scion frs. But if you look at them together, they can't both be plugged into the same controller because they have different types of leds inside. So while the frs only has rgb this other one has rgbw, which means there's a little white chip inside as well. Now, if i change this back to regular rgb, this one looks like a rainbow and this one just has the white leds blasting, all the color away.
Have you even heard of addressable rgb.
Wouldn't use anything that didn't have a white channel in home or automotive use! Price isn't much different and programming is just as simple.

Where can I get that same exact rgb strip?
The RGBW lights are perfect for the cabin, RGB for fun, white for hunting the phone when it slips under the seat.

Lol you sure picked a great time for this short. Let's see, there's 3 wire aka single wire data, 4 wire serial, there's also shift register like signs use, then as of this afternoon there's RGBWYR addressable also and the controller to run it all has found a place to get manufactured too. The Christmas lists this year should look far different than last years did. Lots of new tech on the way.
