Where have you used friction tape?
This tape works really well on multiple things but I use it on Wire Harnesses.

    Self fusing silicone tape is better and way stronger 👍🏻
    I use it in the engineering world for a lot of things; it won’t unwrap after a few seconds, cuts clean, non sticky, water proof, stick to itself, etc.

    interesting idea but nah, usually use electrical tape, flex-pet and heat shrink in combination for large harnesses, electrical (going to go to friction tape now) for long sections that won’t be seen, and pet where it’s visible like engine bay and coming out of trim panels
