How do you clean INSIDE the headlight lens without scratching the fragile inner liner (Anti Fog layer)? Here are 3 Ways to approach the problem of cleaning lenses on a set of Custom Headlights.
Spoiler Alert: Ideally by never touching it with anything, ESPECIALLY A SPONGE AND A MAGNET (oof)!
We're talking about expensive custom lights, not the 25 year old family wagon with years of buildup inside.

For the second method, placing the lens om a fixture would give a better chance of not accidentally damaging the inside
Lasted about 13 seconds before I turned it off.
I don’t need to hear you yammering about how cool you are. I’ll figure it out myself.
COME HAI FATTO PROVARLO?
My custom headlights had issues and went back and forth and due to them being opened and closed about 3 times they now work but they are misting up like crazy and got all sorts of dirty marks inside. I don't want to be sending them back again. So want to try heat them up, open them up with the slide technique you have shown, clean them and re seal. Shall I still do the washing up liquid and water move around with no running and then dampen a micro fibre and gently wipe? Then I was going to blow dry them and I have kitchen towel to wipe clean. Would this be ok? Then wonder if I need more of that butyl stuff adding or just heat up what there and add more sealant around them the next day. Advise would be great. Thanks
Man glad i found this video! I was about to open mine up and polish the inside.😂 can I send you sone pictures of these lights and you let me know if they're even worth saving?
Good thing I procrastinate, because I was going to polish the inside of the only pair of headlights I have xD
So how can u clean the inside lens w/o taking the whole car apart to do it
Have you ever seen LEDs cause hazing on the inside film? I recently took my stock ones apart to paint the housing black and put new lenses on. I also changed the bulbs to SMDs and I noticed both the sidemarkers sections got hazing around the bulb, so I had to take it apart and clean whatever it was off and re-seal. I switched to a super low heat led and that seemed to fix the issue. BUT there’s no way that any LED burns hotter than stock. I’m just at a loss as to what would cause this other than heat. Maybe the lenses are just crappy?
I got a headlight that doesn’t come apart. Only a quarter size hole to get into ? Any ideas?
ounce i live caps open in sprayroom and same problem
My 2013 Nissan Altima has the projectors inside, the lenses on them are cloudy and need cleaning. I was hoping this would help me, it doesn't seen like it will.
Method 4: Have a fender bender that isn’t your fault, get them replaced by insurance for free lol
