Adjusting MKIV Supra Headlights Beam Height with Rad Dan.
We have a great customer who had us build a set of lights for his MKIV Supra. A big problem we had, was that for a Quad Projector retrofit (4 individual aftermarket performance projectors installed), we would have no way of adjusting the beam height without the car. Since the car is across the country, we turned to our friend Dan Burkett, Pro One Formula D Driver in Santa Ana, CA. He and his awesome wife Renee let me tear the lights off her white Supra, and toss on the Quad Retro Headlights.
We did a simple measurement by looking at the height of the projector from the ground, stopping right at the center of the projector, and then making sure that we adjusted the height to match that (in this case using a simple cardboard box, lol) in front of the car. Not exactly Scientific, but MAN, those headlights were aimed waaaay too high before. So I’m glad we did it.
Why this matters most, is because when we reassemble these lights now, what ever we find in terms of the painted internals pieces (Bezels and Shrouds) coming into contact with anything else, we’ll know has to be trimmed or adjusted, since the lights are now properly aimed for height.
Probably the least important thing Dan got done that week, but boy did it help me out big time. We’re gonna film more down there as we install a full package of blue LEDs from XK Glow soon, so stay tuned for that!

Longest intro before getting to the point, ridiculous. Worse part is, he doesn’t show how to adjust them. Lame
Two years later and I’m now seeing your video lol, do you have a build series on these Supra lights? Like what projectors were used for both low beams and high beams, what brackets etc. thanks
Your video says adjusting the lights. But you guys show nothing! Where to make the adjustments, how high off ground, left or right adjustments.
Wow this is amazing where may I get this done and how much
Thanks for coming thru shop, it was fun hanging out. Lets do more vids soon. ☺👊
