This is an angel eye i made in 2003 using a curtain rod, and this is the second angel i i made back in 2003 and it looks a lot better. So the magic of these things is in these little five millimeter leds. These are super old school tech and they just have a little tiny piece of heat shrink on top of them. So the interesting thing about these stupid five millimeter leds is people still use them and they should not it's old tech, it's not good.
So if you're gon na build lights, are you gon na use tech from 2003 or for 2021.
Sorry 2003, it looks better then frosted plastic and bmw still uses acrylic rods and other car manufactures
Do make a short video on 2021 angel eyes
I have 5mm and 8mm addressable for a current project…… whats old school about that?
Is the tube or the led the old tech ? 2020 mercedes benz use this style for their interior lights haha
@FlyRyde , sent you a Facebook message.
My after market headlights for my mk3 golf came with these 🤦🏽♂️
Lol I use to make those too. I made a bar too
I want whatever NASA is using now.
COB or GTFO!
So you going to do new videos with these new 2021 LEDs? How flexible are the new ones? I have an idea I want to mount these inside my fog lights as DRL type when the fog lights aren't on. What do you think?
I swapped those out a while ago now I have like 10 just in a box with acrylics sitting in my room🥲
I made some out of 5 point curtain rod and made the etches like normal, came out kind of cool like a 3D effect.
