No actually, please don't do this. ZEP is a brand with a Degreaser that I use 100% undiluted to quickly, and safely (safe for the part at least) dissolve the Aluminum Metalized finished. If you're lucky enough to have a housing made from black plastic, and covered by "chrome" AND not have a bunch of little components inside... THEN and ONLY THEN, might you consider this terrible idea.

I used oven cleaner a few years back on my headlight reflectors and they turned tan lol
After watching a few of your vidz I went to Home Depot and got a jug of Zep which reminds me of Purple Power lol but I recently dipped my gatling gun shrouds and they came out black but my reflectors came out tan again lol no worries tho cause black paint is not that hard to spray
