Just found out my cayenne lights suffer from this also…. Being over $2k per unit, I’m having a go also rewriting it..
I whant my headlights Black to, but how do you open the headlights/Remove the glas/plastic
What kind of projector does the Cayenne have? I'm thinking of changing the projector in my Porsche Cayman 2015 with AFS/Litronic systems or the PDLS to the G5-R. Will it fit?
I just subscribed to your channel. I'm looking for Part 1 of the Porsche Cayenne Headlight Build. I want to try to rewire the headlight like you did in Part 2, but I'd like to see the steps you used in taking it apart.
For those crumbling wires, I would just use electrical tape to isolate the conduits, and not spend all the extra work on cutting and soldering. It is just not cost effective and especially if you don't get paid to do it! The recyclable wire insulations is not a good product, as it degrades too fast. It should last at least 10 to 15 years, and not just a few as it is now.
I am not sure why you feel it is nescessary to start a new premiere for every new video you put out there? It is just annoying to get these sensation alerts every time you make a video, as nobody else does it, and it is not making me want to watch your videos any more, anyway. I follow your channel because the content is interesting and I am not looking for a wow factor, when there really is none.
every set of Benz lights over 5yrs old that ive ever done for customers not only has the exact same crumbling of the insulation shown here BUT once you are inside the Benz housings there is ZERO color coding of the wiring, every wire inside of the housings are black…..every…single….wire!!!! Great thing about the higher end OEM housings though is that the connectors are much better quality and you can de-pin them one at a time and replace with new and colored wire….Great vids on the channel

Great advise, have you done or would do some lights for a trailblazer SS, MY HID’s seam they need to be triggered by the on/off switch. One always seems to stay off at times. What you thinks is causing this issue
What kind of paint do you use? Im going to paint my headlights. Do i need high temp since i have xenon?

Have you ever done a custom headlight lens cover that had the ridges on the inside. Where you sand all the ridges off and make a clear lens

As a boat owner I am always checking wires that are exposed to salt water air and all kinds of abuse..
How many fires do you think have started in these vehicles that were just wrote off instead of just warned and educated to just replace.

The thing with this. I’ve only done one set or Porsche headlights and I learned the first time every set must receive a new set or headlamp harnesses to keep me safe on my end they’re only 100 more bucks
