I actually have a good plan for the cheap light. Inside on a Volvo taillight. However, you didn’t put a link to it in your description lol it’s 2 of the same link to the other one

I I was thinking about trying to build a insert panel like that, using reflective tape covering the PCB, I really have a thing for the black reflective tape, however red and/or white/silver would probably be the better choice, possibly black for new model clear red lenses, I'm thinking 2010 avenger tail lights, convert the reverse section to sequential turn signals, keeping the reverse function, use 3watt LEDs for backup, about 5-6 of then with 30° lenses, cool white , maybe use IR LEDs for the backup camera, having basically the same function as the inserts you are showing, also I thought about building a 3rd. Brake light, with similar function, maybe do the nightrider thing, use 1watt LEDs with 90° or 120° lense with diffuser, maybe more smaller LEDs, with reflective tape on the PCB, I really like building things myself,

So i'm trying to learn how to do this myself with tails for my car since i can't find a single forum or FB group of someone doing it. Where should i even start if i already tried the mega research approach? Any of your videos you'd suggest?

Personally the cheapo looks better becauae its diffused and it doesnt look like a ebay light or at least my opinion for the price i dont want to see individual led lights especial non smd lights that were popular in the 90s and 2000s i feel it gives a cheeaaaaap look

What is your opinion on making tail lights with the WS2815 led strips? I mean every single led there is programmable, i guess you can get close results to these led patterns, am I right or wrong?
