Hi! Great video. Quick question. If I’m adding a relay. Do I add the diode before the relay from the switch or after the relay to the lights?

Can we get a video of dual input that favors the strobe in a volunteer firefighter and would love to make my truck strobe for calls

What's the trick to choosing the right size diode?

Hi Chris first of all, thanks for share all that knowledge it’s very useful, also it grow on me a question, how u will do the connections to work with ur factory lights? Let’s say I want strobe light in my headlights without remove their original function, will be very thanks full of u can resolve this for me

If you had side running lights and you get them to come on at night with side lights but flash when using turn signal but also flash during day when side lights are not on?

Could this work for addressable LEDs? I see you’re running multiple rgb products on your gtr build and I’m trying to figure out how to do that on a set of addressable strips. For instance running a blue ghozt with a separate music controller

I used what I learned in this tutorial to fix a camera feedback issue I was having with my BOSS dual camera car stereo in my Jeep Wrangler. I wanted to be able to use the backup camera to watch what was going on behind me in traffic, parking lot, job site, etc. The issue was every time I turned on the camera using the car stereo control my brake lights illuminated. I installed the diodes, one in the stereo camera power feed and the other at the backup light camera power feed. No more backup light illumination when I activate the camera from the stereo. It also stopped the image pulse when the turn signal is active. You can teach an old dog new tricks. Thanks Chris.

I know this video is old but I hope you see this comment man. I’m building headlights for my wrx and I’m adding profile halos, and xkglow strips. I want to have all of the leds just named running as my DRL but also while low beams are on. Do I have to build this diode setup for that to work? I was going to run the 12v power to the power after the DRL box but also to the low beams power. There’s already a relay that turns the DRLs off when the low beams are activated. So I thought I could just split the 12v power into 2 wires. But I may need to split it using this diode setup?? Please help🥲

Will those tiny diodes work with bigger and /or more powerful leds? LIke a light bar or off road led lights? TIA

    Great!!
    But can you please answer.
Is it possible to use for my headligths then passing lights?
How about passing light with horn when my horn was a negative trigger?

Just stumbled across your channel. I'm fairly new to working with electronics, tho I am an electrician. I've recently built a prototype 2 channel strobe flasher for my work truck and was wondering how to go about using the lights I've also built as auxiliary lights as well as strobe warning lights. I had the suspicion that all I needed to do was use a couple of IN4007 diodes to achieve my desired goals and this video of yours confirmed my suspicions. Thank you so much for this!!! New subscriber too!!!

What if I have my strobe on first then turn on my head light…..it’s gonna work same way right ?????

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Renan Conti says:

Have some circuit to use my blinkers on the brake lights? Like tail as turn module? How they works, and i can make one at home ?

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars shakew8 spotter says:

Hey Chris! I have been watching your videos and rewatching to pick up things I might have missed non stop. But I was wondering what tools and parts you use for your testing station, how it's all wired together, and how you're able to control all the little functions with your ghozt modules. I have a testing station that I rigged myself, but I want to make one that looks more clean, less bulky and more out of the way to save space. Keep up the good work! Your videos are always very fun and very interesting to learn from!

is there a way to make one override the other. like when you have a tail light /turn signal. how can you make the turn signal override the tail light
