great video. I agree that there is too much technical lingo in electrical engineering stuff in general
What dectects that the is not in gear…? Before the remotes starts
Sadly, there are barely 10 seconds worth of useful info in this video.
A simple explanation of what terminals wired to what on the relay would have been sufficient instead of 8 minutes of blathering and showing off you test box.
I think you just showed me the answer to what I’ve been searching for all day, my dude! Now I can wire a switch to a relay that outputs ground ONLY. I need the switch to send one specific wire to ground, but the switch needs to have an indicator light for when it’s active. So my switch will need 12v in for it’s indicator light, but I do NOT want my switch to output 12v. I can wire a relay the way you did, and I won’t get any 12v output, only ground output for sending one specific wire to ground. Thank you for this video!
My sentra used a positive ground trigger to open the trunk and this is exactly what I needed
Thank you.
What pin numbers are you wiring on that relay?
These videos are awesome. Electrical is my favorite part of working on cars.
Love this disspite some wrong terminology. FWIW using a relay to provide ground from a positive trigger is one if the best ways to interface remotes, etc. to OEM electronics.
Keep the vids coming,we want more lol
Hey from Sweden, just found your channel and hit the subscribe button immediately. Been a auto tech for 25+ years and LOVE electrical problems and mods, I think auto electrical is so easy to work on (just positive and negative). Keep up the good work and I'm checking all your videos out due to I'm in the process of modding my front and tail light on my 02 Trailblazer. Going all in on LED's.
Double thumbs man 👍👍 all these things come in handy at some point down the road good source of reference for people searching for information especially on YouTube
Respect bro – I can write software no problem, but this shit is WAY above my head – lol.
I love the logic: future Chris can learn from present Chris! LOL!
If it helps, think of a relay as providing connectivity or a connect between to items. I think you got caught up in the "throwing" of 12 volts. It can only "throw" what you connect to the other terminal, relays don't care they are only making a connection.
I know what you mean by all of the industry terminology, I was never that keen on it either but wish I would have learned more, that's why I watch your channel, keep up the cool projects.
Have I mentioned that is one ugly stripper?
Very good my bro keep up and love video 💯
