I have two different sets of carbon fiber gtr headlights that i'm test fitting right now. This first one has all black on the top and bottom with carbon in the middle and the second lights have all carbon on the outside and chrome in the middle. Now the hard part about doing chrome on the outside and the middle is that the weave has to be perfect. It's super difficult to get it to match up just right, not only that, but i think too much of one thing can kind of be a bad deal.
So i like the look of at least two different finishes inside chrome and carbon chrome and black or black and carbon. So what do you like? Better black and carbon or carbon and chrome.

Black and carbon. But that’s because we have black and carbon accents on our gtr. Also this company is amazing and 100% puts up with my bs when I ask 100000 questions about lights. If you’re looking buy here

Definitely black and carbon for me.
I've encountered situations where the chrome is so delicate that just a finger touch can peel off the chrome. Then masking for paint becomes a whole other ordeal especially if the customer wants to maintain some chrome. Fortunately, for everyone I've built headlamps were talked into removing all chrome. 😉
And my favorite is pearl black base with a silver and clear realistic carbon pattern
